Common questions
-
Kin Pro on a new phone
Sign in with the same Apple or Google account you used before, and your people and notes sync back. If Kin Pro doesn't show, open Settings in Kin, tap See Kin Pro, then Restore purchases.
-
Cancel Kin Pro
Open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Kin, and choose Cancel Subscription. You keep Kin Pro until the end of the time you've paid for.
-
Refunds
Apple handles payments for Kin Pro, so refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
-
The free plan's 10 people
Free accounts can add up to 10 people. If you have more, say after your free week, you keep everyone; you just can't add anyone new until you subscribe.
-
Signing in
Kin uses Sign in with Apple or Google. Use the same one every time so you see the same people and notes.
-
Moving to a new phone
Your people, notes and photos sync to your account. Unfinished notes stay on the phone you made them on, so save or finish them first.
Deleting your account
You can delete any person or note in Kin, and it goes from all your devices. Kin can't yet delete a whole account from inside the app, so for now:
- If you subscribe to Kin Pro, cancel it first (see above). Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription, because Apple manages it.
- Email support@kin-app.com.au from the address you sign in with and ask us to delete your account. If you used Hide My Email with Sign in with Apple, tell us so and we'll confirm it's you another way.
- We'll delete your account and everything stored with it on our servers within 30 days, and email you when it's done. That includes your sign-in, your people, notes, facts, groups and photos.
- Delete the Kin app to remove what's left on your phone. Signing out also removes your people and notes from that phone.
